About us

We are the firm that only moves to Portugal.

That sentence is the entire positioning. The rest of this page is the reasoning behind it and the small print of how we work.

The single-corridor reasoning

Why one corridor beats fifty.

A general international-removals firm covers fifty destinations and has to spread route knowledge thin across all of them. Customs paperwork in Spain, Italian translation requirements, Norwegian ferry schedules, Polish customs forms — every country has its own rules and they all need to be learnt and re-learnt.

We picked one corridor and chose to know it well. Portugal has its own customs path (the Aveiro AT facility, the AT bilingual inventory, the ToR-relief application), its own depot infrastructure (Leixões for groupage, Faro-area handover for the Algarve, Aveiro for road clearance), and its own regional differences (Lisbon ≠ Porto ≠ Algarve ≠ Central). These are not the same as the equivalent things in France or Spain. Knowing them properly is our entire job.

The result is that when a UK→Portugal customer talks to us, they talk to people who have run this specific route many times, answered the specific questions before, and know which Lisbon building needs a shuttle van and which Porto street takes a full consignment. The corridor knowledge sits in the firm — not in a general process manual.

Four principles we work to.

Written quotes that hold

Once the quote is written, the price does not move upward unless the scope materially changes. If anything looks like it might change scope between quote and move, we requote rather than absorb it. That is the trade for the price holding.

One named contact

One person, one phone number, one email, from the survey through unloading. No handoffs to sub-contractors you have never spoken to. If something goes sideways at any stage, you call the same person who quoted.

Honest trade-offs

Dedicated road for full-house moves and tight dates; sea groupage for partial loads with flexible timing. We say which we recommend and why. We will tell you when we are not the right firm — that conversation is rare but it happens.

Customs end-to-end

ToR1 to HMRC. AT bilingual inventory. NIF reference. Residency evidence. Direct AT correspondence on queries. You sign, we file, and we own the customs side from start to finish.

What we are not

The honest no-list.

We are not a general European removals firm. If your move is UK→France, UK→Italy, UK→Spain or anywhere else, we are not the right firm for the job — and we will tell you that rather than take the work and learn on you. There are network sister sites we can refer you to, depending on the destination.

We do not transport animals. Pets travel via dedicated pet-transport firms, by ferry with you, or by air with an approved carrier — never in a removals lorry, regardless of any assurance to the contrary.

We are not tax advisers, residency advisers, or property lawyers. We will not give NHR advice, visa-pathway advice, or Portuguese-property advice. We work alongside specialists who do those things and can refer you when needed, but the corridor specialism is removals — not relocation consultancy.

We are not a low-price-leader firm. The corridor specialism means our cost is competitive on this route specifically; if your priority is the absolute cheapest move available and you do not mind a generalist learning your customs paperwork on the job, we are probably not the right fit.

If your move is to Portugal, talk to us.

A quick conversation tells us whether the corridor specialism is what you need. Either way, you get an honest answer.
